My name is Elif.

Experience
I have been seeing patients for over 18 years and supervising/training professionals for over 10 years.

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist. My initial training was psychodynamic and I therefore hold and use many of these theories to develop my thinking in my clinical work. My subsequent Integrative training introduced me to relational work and the importance of incorporating the consistent awareness of attachment and relating, within the therapy room. I am heavily influenced by work in the relational field and use the relationship between a client and myself as a key factor in giving insight and movement in the therapeutic arena. I have specialised in assessing, diagnosing, and working with Dissociative Disorders, in particular Dissociative Identity Disorder in the last 6 years. I also train other mental health professionals in working with this patient group and clinically supervise this area of work.
